City of Colfax – Regular Council Meeting 2/20/2023
The regular February meeting of the Colfax City Council was called to order by Mayor Olson at 7:02pm. Present were Mayor Jeff Olson and Council Members Shaun Jacobson, Jesse Moch, and Kyle Krump. Absent was Council Member Justin Reiland and Auditor Jen Skoog. No audience members were in attendance. The minutes of the January regular City Council meeting were reviewed. Moch moved to approve minutes as presented, seconded by Jacobson. Carried. The final financial report for 2022 was reviewed. Krump made motion to approve the financials as presented, seconded by Jacobson, motion carried. The February bills were reviewed; Moch motioned to approve the bills as presented, seconded by Jacobson. Carried. Old Business No update regarding the new Water loop. No update regarding the Fire Hydrant repair. No update regarding the Grant Street Improvement Project. Jeff met with Interstate Engineering to discuss possible options for the event center lift station. New Business The Colfax Community Center board has expressed interest in dissolving and having the City take over operations of the community center. The building is owned by the City, and the insurance, power, etc. is already paid by the city. Amy Clark has been notified of the interest and is looking into what would need to happen. Colfax Equalization Meeting will be held on April 17th at 7:00pm, with the regular council meeting to follow. The final plat of the Colfax Meadows 4th Additional was reviewed by the council. Moch motioned to approve the plat as presented, seconded by Jacobson. Carried. There being no further business, Krump made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Jacobson. Carried. |
