Special Council Meeting - 5/6/2026

​City of Colfax – Special Meeting 5/6/2026
A special meeting of the Colfax City Council was called to order by Council Member Jacobson at 7:00am. Present were Council Members Shaun Jacobson, Tom Steinolfson, and Scott Gauslow. Absent was Kyle Krump, Jesse Moch, and Auditor Skoog. No other attendees.
A building permit application for a deck at 210 Laverne Lane was presented. Steinolfson motioned to approve the application, seconded by Gauslow. Carried.
A building permit application for a shed at 604 Gerald Way was presented. Steinolfson motioned to approve the application, seconded by Gauslow. Carried.
Discussion was held regarding the attorney’s updated version of the proposed engineering agreement with Interstate Engineering. Council agreed to have Auditor Skoog pass along the revised agreement to Interstate Engineering for their review.
Discussion was held on ‘out’ buildings and to have siding detailed in the application process, even though it is described in the city ordinances.
There being no further business, Gauslow made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Steinolfson.  Carried. Adjourned at 7:18am.
